About The Front Page
A town centre bar on Ballymoney Street, named after a newspaper office and run like a community one.
The name is not a metaphor.
The Front Page takes its name from the newspaper office that used to sit next door on Ballymoney Street. The bar kept the idea and ran with it: the walls are hung with framed front pages carrying famous headlines, so there is always something to read while you wait on your round.
It has been trading since the turn of the century, and describes itself as traditional meeting modern. In practice that means an old town bar that happens to put a local musician on every week.

Every Saturday from 5pm there is a local act on, and there is never a cover charge. Some months that is a singer with a guitar, some months a full session. Some Thursday nights the quiz raises money for a local cause.
